1. Haflong In Assam
How To Get There: Airports in Guwahati and Dimapur are both fairly close by. Or you can drive from Guwahati. It will be an unforgettable experience!
if you want to spend some time with your head pretty literally in the clouds, this is the place for you! You tend to expect great beauty from hill stations in the northeast – almost any town can rival most hill stations elsewhere – but Haflong is beautiful even by those lofty standards.

2. Dhanaulti In Uttarakhand, Kaudia Range
How To Get There: It is well connected by bus or taxi from Dehradun.
It is sleepy, small and quiet – the kind of place you head to when you just want to sink into oblivion and laze around a bit.  It’s where you should go when you just need a break from the fast pace of life and find yourself again.

3. Ponmudi In kerala, Western Ghats
How To Get There: Drive there from Thiruvananthapuram. You will want to take a car that can take steep inclines. 
Remember. how as kids, we used to draw a couple of hills with a stream between them, the sun coming up slowly and casting rays you could actually see around? Well, sunrise in Ponmudi does look exactly like that.

4. Pelling In Sikkim, Kanchenjunga Range
How To Get There: Your best bet would be to take a shared taxi from Siliguri or Gangtok.
Pelling is not as well developed as Gangtok, and it’s smaller, but it is also the starting point for some excellent treks, and the town itself has a few stunning view points that can very well rival Gangtok.

5. Nandi Hills In Karnataka, Chikkaballapur 
How To Get There:  Take A bus from Bangalore which will get you to the hills in short of 3 hours.
Also referred to as Ananda Giri which means the Hill of Happiness, Nandi is in the shape of a sleeping bull (Nandi) and hence the name.It has a fort at the top of the hill built by Tipu Sultan and is a favorite picnic spot for nature enthusiasts.

6. Chopta In Uttarakhand, Garhwal Hills
How To Get There: Hiring a taxi from Rudraprayag would be the most comfortable option. 
This is good for those who want to be far from the madding crowd. It serves as base for treks to both Tungnath and Chandrashila, a trekker's paradise this one!

7. Shimoga In Karnataka, Western Ghats
How To Get There: It has a railway Station and has buses that go to most places. 
Agumbe, with its fog and dense forest cover, is probably one of the most secluded hill stations you could find in the Western Ghats. It has multiple waterfalls and is ethereally beautiful.
If waterfalls are your thing, you have to see this place!

8. Tawang In Arunachal Pradesh, Eastern Himalayas
How To Get There: There are buses and shared taxis from Bomdila (also worth visiting) or Tezpur.
There are so many lakes which will capture your imagination. They are pristine, with water so clear that you can see the reflections of mountains and trees in them. Also, Tawang is breathtakingly beautiful and very peaceful. 
What more resaon to visit it on your next vacation!

9. Kotagiri In Nilgiris, Tamil Nadu
How To Get There: Taxis can be hired from the Coimbatore Airport
After Ooty and Coonoor, Kotagiri is the third highest hill station in the Nilgiri region of Tamil Nadu. The Doddabetta mountain range protects it from the south-west monsoon of Ooty while the Moyar river adds to its beauty. Lush-green tea plantations all around make Kotagiri an exciting place to trek.

10. Tosh In Himachal Pradesh
How To Get There:  Simla Rail Way Station is major railway station 107 KM near to Tosh.
Tosh is the new Kasol..Still mostly a village with slate roof houses, Tosh is soon turning out to be the new favorite of hippies coming to Himachal for the good stuff. It is connected to the rest of the world through a wooden bridge. But once you go there, you might feel you're in a different era altogether.
Or it could be another 'substance'. You never know!

11. Askot In Uttarakhand
How To Get There: Pantnagar is the closest airport about 130 km away. Daily buses ply between Delhi and Almora.
Lying midway between Pithoragarh and Dharchula, the fertile slopes of Garkha are located on the front side and Kali river and mountains of Nepal to the left. Trees like Pinus, Quercus and Rhododendron add to the beauty of Askot.
It is also home to Askot Musk Deer Sanctuary.

12. Araku Valley In Andhra Pradesh
How To Get There: The place is 110 kms from Vizag, which is well connected by train, bus and air routes. 
Araku Valley is one of the least polluted places in South India. The hill station is surrounded by coffee plantations and is the perfect place for a honeymoon getaway thanks to its quiet nature. It is the preferred location for several songs in Indian movies

13. Coonoor In Nilgiri
How To Get There: Coimbatore Airport is the nearest airport located approximately a distance of 70 km.
After Ooty, Coonoor is the second-highest hill station in the Nilgiri region. It is famous because of its serene beauty but unlike Ooty, it's not a bustling mess. If you have nothing to do, Coonoor is the perfect place to do it in.

14. Munsyari In Uttarakhand
How To Get There: Pantnagar is the closest airport about 130 km away. Daily buses ply between Delhi and Almora.
Munsyari (Munsiyari), the name refers to a place with snow. Mountaineers, glacier enthusiasts and high altitude trekkers should certainly visit this place. One of the key attractions here is the trek to Khalia top, and the route is simply magnificent!
