How To Get There: Drive there from Thiruvananthapuram. You will want to take a car that can take steep inclines.
Remember. how as kids, we used to draw a couple of hills with a stream between them, the sun coming up slowly and casting rays you could actually see around? Well, sunrise in Ponmudi does look exactly like that.

How To Get There: Your best bet would be to take a shared taxi from Siliguri or Gangtok.
Pelling is not as well developed as Gangtok, and it’s smaller, but it is also the starting point for some excellent treks, and the town itself has a few stunning view points that can very well rival Gangtok.

How To Get There: Take A bus from Bangalore which will get you to the hills in short of 3 hours.
Also referred to as Ananda Giri which means the Hill of Happiness, Nandi is in the shape of a sleeping bull (Nandi) and hence the name.It has a fort at the top of the hill built by Tipu Sultan and is a favorite picnic spot for nature enthusiasts.
